Sophia's Hair Studio sits on the parade at 21 Leicester Road, a few doors along from the shops. You'll know it by the pink script above the window.
Inside it's bright and calm — marble floors, mirrored stations and the flower wall everyone gets a photo against on the way out. The kind of place where you're handed a drink and a biscuit, your feet go up on the recliner at the basin, and the afternoon slows down for a bit.
The team
The hands behind the chair
Fern, Sinead, Lily and Charleigh look after the chairs between them. Whoever you sit with, you get the same thing: someone who asks plenty of questions, listens to what you actually want, and takes the time to get there.
First haircut, a big colour change, your regular trim or a nervous first visit — they'll talk you through it and check in the whole way. It's why people book in with their name and keep coming back.
How it feels
Never rushed
Even if you're the last appointment of the day, you'll never feel hurried. We take our time, check in as we go, and give honest advice — the sort of thing you only get from people who love the job.
